August 1993 – John and I figured out how to carry Chamba on my motorcycle, and go climb the mountain in Cameroon that beckoned to us from the southeast.
Dog people. I never knew how many of them are all around me. They understand.
This morning I picked up Chamba from Takoma Park Animal Clinic.
I sent this out by e-mail to friends and family within hours of putting Chamba to sleep.
Today a kooky Cameroonian I’ve never met sent me a Map of Cameroon showing the location of Tchamba. He credits Chamba’s "Dog of the Day" bio for spurring his desire to learn more about his ancestors.
